The Rosa Jiminez Spanish Dance Theatre based in Sasolburg and Vanderbiljpark teaches Spanish dancing to people of all ages, gender and class. We offer a certified International Syllabus which culminates in a Teacher’s qualification that allows the students to earn an income privately or in teaching institutions such as schools.

We are very proud to have several students from Sasolburg High School. Annami McClintock who is currently in grade 12 at SHS recently won the Mercedes Molina Bursary for the best Gauteng exam candidate for her Advanced Spanish dancing exam. Annami, together with Yolandi de Wit (teacher at SHS) and Leah v. Dyk (grade 12 learner at SHS) were invited to perform together with Rosa Jiminez in Alma Flamenca at the Dance Cafe in Johannesburg on the 29th and 30th July 2017 together with the Montoya Spanish Dance Theatre and El Rincon Flamenco Dance company which was a resounding success!

On the 12th August 2017, we held our annual production “Las Rosas de Baile” at the ERT in Sasolburg which was also a great success! All the students participated in the Spanish Dance Society exams which were held in Sasolburg the first week of November!
