We started with a few fun activities like riding the rapids of the Vaal River on tubes, swimming and having some social time. We had sessions with Randy Rooibaadjie which helped the new leaders prepare for the tough year ahead.

The ceremony took place in the school hall, and every leader received their badge from their parent. Our chairperson, Karabo Matobako, and deputy chairperson, Jacques Groenewald, were also introduced.

Very fitting with Valentine’s day around the corner.  The ‘love week’ consisted of cards with quotes of love being handed out to every learner in SHS. Corinthians 13:4-8 was used as the cornerstone of the quotes.

Verskillende onderwerpe is gedurende VCSV-sessies aangeraak. One of the highlights of 2017 was the yearly prayer march on 19 May.

A new thing to the USCA in 2017 was also the PTP meetings, Pray to Pass, which took place the day before the school examination started. There was a mass prayer meeting in the third term as well as an opportunity for testimonies. Ds.

2017 was a blessed year for SHS’s USCA.
